In the city of Novus, some people simply want to stay young and party for as long as they can. Cryostaters are the most extreme versions of these folk. Any prolonged period of time in which they have little to no activity, they submerse themselves into a cryostate of frozen sleep, slowing their aging process down. Sounds like fun!?
