Tomskin Fluttery, known as The Engineer, is one of the few people left in Solus (and maybe the world) with the ability to operate and repair a train engine, an ancient tractor, a Minejabber and many other moving vehicles of the ancient past as well. He is able to remove all the “complications” that get in his way of operations. This makes him a prime candidate to work on the Uraboros (the Thornraver flagship) and make sure it’s in ship-shape.
